Metal Casting at Home Part 13. Small Casting with Core.

Making a small casting in aluminium. A core is used to make the intenal detail of the casting. This is the gearbox for my Stickney engine model. There are some slight differences in technique from my other videos, I am learning all the time!

    @RitualPicturesInc Moulding sand can be reused over and over. I dont reuse the core sand as its only cheap builers sand.

    I’ve viewed all your foundry videos. I took shop classes in foundry from my dad in the 70’s. I too have taught high school shop. After seeing other channels about backyard foundry, (that frightened me), I glad you have taken time to show how. I think a good addition would be to show proper safety attire and explain dangers, (i.e. exploding concrete).
