(World of Warcraft) Feral Druid DPS Question gems for Weapon?

April 10, 2010 - 8:36 pm 1 Comment

Okay, I would ask Elitist Jerks, but I’m muted for a day and figured I would ask here.
( Please only nerds =)

So, I’m a feral druid kitty. I have no problems with anything else, top of the dps charts all that jazz. But I have a question.
I have the staff : Distant Land, It’s a great feral staff and has 2 sockets in it.
Now as a feral I have the talent : Predatory Strikes 3/3
Increases your melee attack power in Cat, Bear and Dire Bear Forms by 150% of your level and 20% of any attack power on your equipped weapon. In addition, your finishing moves have a 20% chance per combo point to make your next Nature spell with a base casting time less than 10 sec. become an instant cast spell.

Let’s say I put 2x 40 Attack Power gems into that, or 2x 68 Attack Power gems in the staff ( JC gems ) would the game recognize the extra attack power in the staff and increase the attack power due to the talent? And if so, is it a better investment than putting Agility gems/ Arp ( Although assuming I’m hard capped on Arp )?
No one probably has a answer, I will probably have to wait for Elitist Jerks to let me post lawl. I could test this out in-game, but before I spend a few hundred gold I just wanna be sure.
Edit: Or someone can post this on Elitist Jerks Druid forum for me? I just made an account today to ask the question that’s why I can’t post yet.

AFAIK, the gems on the staff would feed your AP, which would then get converted by Predatory Strikes. So, that part should be okay.

As for the better investment? Depends, I’d say – if you’re just doing PvE high-end DPS, then probably. Otherwise, I’d tend to favor the straight agility for the dodge bonuses that come in as well, but I know that some folks still aim for the AP. Elitist Jerks might be a better place for a more hard-and-fast answer on the second half.

Investment Casting – Heat 1

Heat 1 of 3- Investment Casting of Steel in the research foundry at Missouri University of Science & Technology. I’m the person controlling the furnace and turning the wheel on the ladle.

I had a problem with the steel not wanting to go into the shell mold part way through. After we stood around bored for a couple seconds, we finally gave up.

Why did college liberals feel smart voting for 0bama?

April 8, 2010 - 6:11 pm 16 Comments

ObamaCare is a huge permanent new tax on corporate profits, new tax on prescription drugs alone will cost $35 billion every year. The result will be that return on investment will decrease from 6% to 4%.

I know that young liberals cannot care less about returns on investment, becuase, they say, only rich people derive sizeble profits from investments, not us. Let tax the fat cats, we are all for it. Please, keep reading, smart guys.

Every fiannancial planning advisors tell you that you must begin to save for retirement early and continue steadily. They say, invest $10,000 into your retirement every year and after 35 years the power of exponential growth will kick in and and at average growth rate 6% you will retire with $1,000,000. However if average growth rate is only 4%, then the same power of exponent will kick in with force in the opposite direction and your retirement savings will be only $500,000.

See, by casting your vote for Obama you robbed yourself of half a million dollar, easy. Do you still feel smart? Keep reading.

That $1,000,000 would yield you comforatble retirement income $60,000 at 6%.
And $500,000 would yield you not so comforatble retirement income $20,000 at 4%.

By voting for Obama you simply sentenced yourselves to the poorhouse. Young college liberals, you are the biggest losers by your own choice.

Their teachers told them they are smart & they just do what their are told without thinking. They didn’t use logic since they supported the pathetic looser.

They said Obama was "cool." That is not a reason to vote for someone.

This guy is confusing yet not confusing lol how do i know what he really wants from me!? Is he really into me?

April 6, 2010 - 4:39 pm 10 Comments

Ok, I’ve been dating this guy for over a month. I’m 21 in my last year of college and he’s 25 — an investment banker. He’s not a virgin — I am (but im not innocent at all ..ive done my share of freaky thangs lol) We talk everyday on the phone, through text, and online when hes at work and I’m at school). He leaves me cute voicemails when I don’t pick up sometimes. He’s met my little niece already and was pretty nice to her. I know some personal stuff about his family like his dad is really, really sick — some financial stuff kinda ( he told me i could ask him how much he makes but i never did cuz i feel weird asking him yet) … he’s already wished me a one month annirversary and a few weeks ago when i went out to my friends 21st at a club he was mad the next day when i told him i danced with guys (they were just friends though), okay so basically what Im getting at is that there is a lot this guy has said to me so far and done that makes me think hes serious about what we have so far BUT — and this is the whole point of my question here and worries — I feel like we ve moved way too fast in physical department … we’ve done a lot so far and I’m worried that he may already think I’m an easy target or a hoochie by now! I’ve read online everywhere and have asked friends about this and they all keep tellin me that if he likes u he will wait to have sex with you and that the ball is in my court and if I can just put off having sex with him I’ll know for sure whether he’s a keeper. I feel like maybe I’m giving him too many signals that I want him all the time sexually maybe that is why he keeps advancing … I’ve told him I wanna wait but he does and says those typical guy things to subtly convince me or persuade me into giving it up .. I mean he doesnt outright pressure me or anything he;s said many times that I respect your decision and if thats what u wanna do its fine with me … but I just wanna know for sure if hes not playing around with me .. like he isnt just pretending to be my boyfriend until he gets me into bed right? I mean ive heard that guys are just like tht they will always try to get you into bed but I dont know if I can stop him cold turkey on a lot of physical stuff cuz so far hes gotten use to so much we’ve done .. and I think he just keeps expectin more … so how do I know this guy isnt just playing some major, high-tech game with me … he has told me he wants to meet my friends and vice versa and that he wants to go on trips with me … hes also written me like two cute letters (which he says he never does for anyone!) I feel like I get mixed signals abt his intentions only when I think abt the sexual aspect of our relationship … hes told me many times tht wants to experience many other things with me and tht hes not just in this for sex (but how can I trust tht hes not just saying all the right …things how do i know for sure tht hes legit … I think he is by all the other things he does and says .. many of them which I didnt get to list here cuz you guys have read so much already) but im so perplexed … i dont know am i just doubting him too much and listening to random ppl too much? am i casting suspicion on someone who is just being normal? am i reading too much into this .. i just wanna b careful and not get hurt .. please help!
Thnkx to everyone who wrote — guys I’m rly sorry I wrote so much .. but there’s so much on my mind that I kept going .. plus I wanted to provide as much info abt the situation as I could so I could get some real fair answers …

well i don’t know for sure but you should be careful cause maybe he is just using u for sex. and if u don’t trust him and if ur friends are saying that he’s only using you, than don’t do anything else where he’ll expect more.

How can I maintain a positive relationship with my parents as I begin a new business they don’t support?

April 4, 2010 - 5:18 pm 1 Comment

I’m 32. After a divorce, I moved back to my hometown. I obtained what is considered a good job around here, but it’s not GOOD enough for me.

My manager came to me for advice one day and confessed that she was starting a business and wanted me to come on board, as a partner.

Without details, the business is a great idea that I believe in and one that depends on my hard work for success. Now the time has come, we are quitting our jobs and starting the business. My investment is only 15K, which won’t bankrupt me.

My mom, who was for the idea, is now against it because of my investment. She thinks my 2 partners should take all the financial risk, but I should have equal reward. She’s against me investing 15K for my future. She doesn’t understand I have to invest and that’s the difference between a partner & employee. She’s trying to protect me, but it brings me down.

I want to be able to do this without parents casting doubts over my head, and maintain a good relationship.

Your parents are scared. Otherwise they would be happy for you and I am sure they are, but as parents that seems to be a big part of our job is to worry. You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders and if you think this business will take off and you will do good then go for it. They will see the end results and know they raised a daughter who can and will go after what she needs and wants. That will not only make you successful, but your parents, knowing you are.

lost wax casting burnout problem?

April 2, 2010 - 8:37 pm 2 Comments

so I am young and I am making rings via lost wax casting. I am using specific casting investment. My burnout oven is a propane bbq or I can use my forge/kiln – a 15 gallon metal drum with 2 propane torch burners attached to the manifold. it get hot enough to melt steel. However when I first put my mold in the bbq about an inch or so above the flame the wax was dripping out, then I left it and came back and checked on it and the investment had expanded and cracked. I let it dry for over 24 hours.

You’re probably heating it too hot too fast. If all the wax wasn’t out of the investment and it caught on fire, that could have caused the crack. Another problem could be the ceramic materials of the investment themselves. These will have water and binder materials of their own that need to come out too. Try putting your investment further from the burner, or turning your burner on low for a few hours at first to see if heating more gently will help.

Do you think this is a scam?

March 31, 2010 - 10:16 pm 25 Comments

So I sent submitted my pictures to kidstalent.net (It was for modeling and acting and stuff) and we got a reply letter from them saying:

>>>>>>Hi there,

Thank you for your submission! We believe Micayla could do very well in this industry – you have a beautiful and very marketable child!

If you have interest in learning further about how we can help you succeed in this industry, please send us the best phone number for contact and the best time to contact you, and we will be glad to speak with you directly.

Best regards,

Alex

Head Scout<<<<<<

So we replied when a good time would be and when but after THAT email we sent this is was they said:

>>>>>>Before we call, we just wanted to make sure you understand that we are NOT an agency – we refer your child to safe and reputable agencies, and therefore charge for such services. However, since your child will become a working model, your investment is tax-deductible!

To help answer any questions you may have, here’s a summary of how we work:

Every day our company receives up to 200 new submissions, all of which are immediately screened by our casting department and evaluated for potential in the modeling industry. Of all the kids evaluated, only a small percentage is signed by us for representation.

As for our service, we do all the marketing and promotion of your kid for you through an efficient and cutting-edge method developed by our company. In summary, we build a website for your child, host it, maintain it, and have it viewed only by reputable agencies, casting directors and industry personnel nationwide – all of which are part of our exclusive network of industry resources.

Nowadays, most top agencies only accept kids through an "industry referral". The old "Mail us photos!" system no longer works. Your child needs to come recommended by someone in the industry. Guess who that "someone" is? Yes, us!!

In addition, we advise you on photos, outfits, travel, etc. – anything that you’d need to know to succeed in the industry. Never mind all the time spent on researching agencies that you’ll save.

Oh, and we provide you the peace-of-mind of knowing that you’ll only be dealing with legit and reputable agencies. The safety of your child is our first priority!

We do all of this for the next 3 years for a tax-deductible, one-time investment of only $495!!

Quite a deal, huh?

In 2007 alone, children we have worked with have appeared on Disney Channel, MTV, Heroes (NBC), McDonald’s commercial, Criss Angel – Mindfreak (A&E), Everybody Hates Chris (UPN), EA Sports commercial, Pier 1 catalog, Larry The Cable Guy and much more!

We are confident Micayla can have a successful career in modeling and television, and hope to help you get there faster and safely.

Your child has been carefully selected to fill a void in our roster of talent, and we’re hopeful to be working with you. Yet, due to the time-sensitive nature of our business, we cannot hold your child’s spot indefinitely.

If you’d still like me to call, we need to set up a convenient time for a phone meeting – within the next couple of days – to further explain to you how you can get your child represented by us.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Alex<<<<<<<<<<<<

do you think its real or fake? should we pay the 495$?

people, check out their sucess stories! theyre pretty amazing! ……… unless thats fake too……….

Scam… if you have to pay to get a job, ANY job, then it’s not a job for YOU, it’s a job for the person you’re paying…
